We begin with Robert Plant and his magnificent 'do

We continue with me, inspired by Plant's 'do

Segway into me recording...

And we end with Zippy, my beloved drumkit, which conveniently links into the Led Zeppelin theme!

The beauties in their many colours

I never knew how great my virgin hair was until I had it bleached. My natural waves and curl (what I liked to call my 70's hair) disappeared and was replaced by intense frizz and breakages, which was tragic...
But, there are ways to get it looking luscious, shiny and relatively healthy again. It takes a bit of sitting around in a towel, but with the promise of glowing hair, and the comfort of a magazine or computer, the experience becomes bearable.

1. I was told by a beauty therapist once that hair and skin should be something you invest in, because it stays with you forever. Brands like Kerastase or Biosthetique are my favourites. Masques are also the key!

2. At least once a week saturate your towel dried hair in either coconut oil or olive oil after a thorough wash along with a masque of your choice. Leave it in for 40 minutes (this is where the magazines come in handy) and rinse thoroughly, there's nothing worse than drying your hair only to realize there is still oil there.

3. When washing bleach damaged hair, use the coolest water possible because it will seal the split ends temporarily and make your hair smoother.

4. Stating the obvious here, but trim it every 4-6 weeks. I never knew what a difference it actually made.

5. Use leave-in conditioners, oils and serums. Kerastase has Elixir Ultime, which does well to keep you super smooth and shiny. I also use a Night Serum called Serum Nuit in the Kerastase Noctogenist range that leaves my hair feeling soft and renewed.

A s B A R D O T

On my day off I decided to experiment with the ways of the fabulous Brigitte Bardot.
I embraced the the 60's style with a Wheels & Dollbaby velvet dress and my make up was inspired by this.
I studied (if you can call looking up pictures studying) her hand gestures and movements and noticed that she used them in a balletic way, so I tried to embrace some of the Bardot-esque enduring qualities.
Right now I'm blonde, but soon it will back to my beloved brunette hair (I've missed you!) so I thought I would try Brigitte while I could.
